Mals-About Pappy Van Winkle (pointed)
Mals-About Doing A Happy Dance BN RN CGC (major pointed)
August 1, 2017
Whiskey and Charlie would like to invite you to join them in welcoming their babies. It wasn't quite the timing I would have chosen but these little guys and gals should fulfill all the dreams that have come through generations of Spinoni that conform to the breed standard while being able to perform in the field as they were bred to do. Conformation showing, hunting, performance or just enjoying a hike in the woods with their family, these puppies are bred to do it all. As always, these puppies carry full health guarantees for those diseases applicable to the breed. To see the pedigree on these puppies, just click here.
And now, here they are!
All cleaned up and wearing their ribbons.
The boys and the girls
A week old and these babies are growing by leaps and bounds.
They are very comfy in our alternate whelping box since Gabby needs the bigger one.
Two weeks old and the eyes are open and everybody is working on getting up on their feet. We've even had some "escapes" from the whelping box! Busy days ahead!
Practicing their walking while some nap and others start a wrestling match.
There are those pretty little faces with their eyes open.
Nap time after all that practicing!
And everybody tucked back in for a snack and a snooze.
Three weeks old and lots of changes this week. The most important was their introduction to solid food.
Oh, yes, it was messy but Whiskey loved the clean up! And some cleaned each other!
There was even a giggle or two.
And the whelping box came out since everybody could get out but nobody could get back in.
Soon we'll put in the big crate so they get used to sleeping in one.
By the end of the week, they are doing better eating. Still messy, but....
Five and a half weeks and the little guys got their first taste of the outdoors. To say they hit the ground running would be an understatement. They love the freedom of the great outdoors!
And they're off! Needless to say, the days of having all the puppies in one photo are long gone.
They don't have time to pose for photos. I just have to point and shoot and hope for the best.
These two found the old baby teeter. And, of course, the obligatory puppy pile.
Charlie trying to teach the baby how to play. According to Edie, he obviously wasn't doing it correctly so she gave instructions.
Please come back often and watch these Spinone babies grow and develop over the coming weeks. I'll be updating and adding pictures often.
